GREAT SUCCESS OF THE GUSHTINGIRI SEMINAR IN BOLOGNA

The first international GUSHTINGIRI seminar, held on February 8 and 9 in Bologna, in the famous “DOJO EQUIPE”, the Olympic Judo specialization center directed by Masters Paolo Natale and Laura Di Toma, was a great success. Organized by the Traditional Wrestling Italian Federation and the International Gushtingiri Federation (IGGF), in collaboration with A.S.I. (Sports promotion body recognized by the National Olympic Committee), the seminar was conducted, with high competence, by the IGGF instructors
Abdullo Saidkhodzhaev, Bahodur Halimov and Kourosh Khosrouyar, who also held the exams for instructor and referee. The seminar was attended by athletes from various countries, such as Iran, Türkiye, Republic of San Marino. They obtained the Gushtingiri Coaching diploma, of the Italian federation: Lincoln Han, Mattia Galbiati, Eugenio Sturniolo, Vitalie Ursu and Mihai Ciocan. Francesco Pio Aidone, Niccolò Fiocchi, Mihai Ciocan and Mattia Galbiati obtained the Referee diploma. During the seminar, a demonstration of the APULIAN STICK of the “Trimigno School” was held by Masters Bruno Angarano,
Donato Nenna and Peter Fabbroni, who showed both the sporting and self-defense aspects of this ancient tradition belonging to the Italian cultural heritage. “We are very satisfied with the success of this event”, says Vittorio Giorgi, president of the Traditional Wrestling Italian Federation. “We have already participated in various international competitions of this beautiful traditional wrestling, which is also the national sport of Tajikistan.
